I met the lovely Nanci at my first ever Quilt Market and she was such and enthusiastic vibrant shop owner – inspiring to all. She has been trying ever since to bring to reality my visit to her store and this year the stars aligned… despite a little last minute glitch!

She now has two stores, and a partner in the business, this lovely big space in Lincoln and another in the most quaint little town of Brownville..P1100165and yes, Sophie the kitty does live at the store – protector and an attraction to all kitty lovers who come from far and wide, as they did for my classes… Old friends from South Dakota, new friends from Kansas and Iowa…

Connie and Nanci hosted me beautifully and also managed to sit in on one day of classes so they too could have some stitching therapy.. and the lovely Kara (on right) was my last minute taxi to Kansas City.  P1100159 We did two days of classes – Colourque …. so great to see all of the different results

and then some Embroidery for the second class – note the innovative measures taken to trace designs… P1100149It has been such a pleasure to introduce so many new women to the joys of embroidery or to refine the skills of those who already love it.. P1100153 P1100155 P1100157
