there’s no place like home… there’s no place like home… there’s no place like home…

Now I have to make it up to you all for being such a bad blogger over the past couple of months. 2012 has been a huge year for me this far, so big I had to re-introduce myself to my kids…

The next couple of months I am theirs…some quiet times at home, design months, play months, stitching months -  before the travel begins again later in the year. So, to make it up to you I want to go back several weeks and over the next few days bring you all up to date with the wonderful times, experiences, sharing of passions and new friendships that I have been blessed with around the world.  I know that I am the luckiest person in Lenah Valley; who would have thought just by pursuing a love of stitching that it would take me to places far and wide, meeting the most wonderful warm and caring people of all cultures and making true and real friends who know what friendship and and the joy of stitching are all about.

the last time I ‘spoke’ with you I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of a new baby! yes, my dream come true, finally I was able to reach my highest goal – designing my own fabric..

finally this arrived at my door

filled with bolts of my creation – wow, what a feeling, it was really happening..

but now I had a full ten days to make everything that I had imagined, created, designed and prepared to release this range at the International Quilt Market. I was blessed to have a few wonderful friends who rallied to help out also with a few projects and booth props and decorations.. and a sister to quilt five of the finished quilts for me also.

We sewed and stitched and quilted and typed into the wee hours of every morning until I left… but it was all worth it!

Life is Beautiful’ was here….

to be able to fondle, play, cut, sew, stitch and just drool at your own stash of fabric, can you imagine?

I will never forget everyone in my journey who inspired, encouraged, assisted, kept at me, gave me the confidence and shared the passion to get me to this point… you are all a part of this..

hugs for today, will be back tomorrow with the next chapter…
