today was our first play day…. first it was out to grandma and grandpa’s farm – wow, they have some sheds and some equipment and were the most lovely welcoming family..P1030619

and much much more, didn't quite go down well with the Home made wine – cant just remember the name of the people that make it but something like the Amish – well  I think they can keep it!

then it was outside for show n tell

then we travelled for several miles to see a large working dairy, now I have grown up with dairy's either side of us in Australia but I have never seen anything like this – 2500 cattle each milked 3 times a day – enjoy your milk tonight girls…P1030649

we then spent the rest of the day visiting every antique mall in the district – i could show you many many photos but they would bore you so thought I’d leave you with this image of our Laura Ingles – yes we are in Laura territory here and we feel just like we are in the Little House on the Prairie set.
