Wow, some of your comments brought a tear to my eye… It really is a special thing to have that special friend in your life and I found myself wishing I knew all of your friends also..

I had a lovely two days with my oldest and dearest friend..in a beautiful part of the world..

This was the view from our window (did I mention that my Husband organised all of this and we did not know our destination until we got there?) yes we wandered along this beach at Sunset..

photo 1We walked to the the Wineglass bay lookout to take in this magnificent view

P1100451a side walk to  the lighthouse lookout – yes more rugged Australian coastline – can you imagine those first explorers coming across this?

P1100453by then of course we had earned ourselves this

with lashings of thick sticky King Island Cream… we were good, just shared!

Lots of chatting, a bit of trashy mag reading, of course some stitching, a wonderful ‘Happy Box’ supplied by dear husband and girls and just time for us!  This was probably only the second time I have done something like this, no kids, no work, no anything, just time to do as I please and stop and smell the roses.. and guess what, they all survived at home without us….

Hope you all had a great weekend too…

Now for what you’ve been waiting for…

Hi Helen, I have only known my best friend for just over 12 months. She has been like the sister I never had. We meet through our love of patchwork and stitching. Her advice, support, love and friendship means the world to me :)

Oh Helen, the besties are so cute and yes, I have probably had all of those friend at some point or another. Leila would most match my Becc. Now I have only known Becc for 2 years, but it feels like forever. I think she knows me better than I know myself.

Enjoy your trip away.
