Lets Get Stitched!

Yesterday I was spoilt having a whole day with stitching and blogging friends here in Hobart – they had spent the whole weekend together and had shared many laughs and memories..

Lets Get Stitched bloggers retreat was organised by Fee with help from Jo (see her in the pic above) – walking in the room looked just lovely – pink and blue – my favourites – so of course was lovely to me.. 

I was playing and made these little goodie pouches filled with very low fat sweets for everyone – very easy to make and  they even matched Fee’s colourscheme!

Michelle had travelled the furthest from the West Coast of New Zealand,  Anne was a close second from WA, then others from QLD, SA, NSW and VIC. All friends through blogging – what a small world we now are…. 

There were six designers on the day who gave little patterns or kits in the goody bags and present 30 minute demo tutorials on a different technique – this was a slightly different way of running a retreat and worked really well.

Retreats and gatherings are such feelgood days.. The organisers add those extra touches to make us all feel special. so thanks Fee and Jo – your  touches are always appreciated..

only two sleeps until I leave for the other side of the World to be a part of many more gatherings of women who love stitching. It is going to be lovely to see what they love and the different styles of Europe. Hopefully I will have internet access and will have lots more photos to show you in the coming weeks.
