Visiting my sister in South Australia we have been in cropping country. The headers have been harvesting day and night to feed the country and many overseas markets…with wheat, barley, peas, lentils and canola. The landscape is dry….what can I say…. dusty, dry, and very friendly flies! and they work hard….
My city cousins have spent a few days with their country cousins learning about how they live, they got to ride in the huge header with Pa, riding motorbikes, making fun from nothing and generally having fun whilst mum was teaching.
Three classes down and on the road again to Renmark on the Murray River. It will be another landscape again and I shall show you next week. on our return.
hugs, Helen
