binding- the best bit or the worst?

If you are a Facebook friend we have had this discussion last week as I was putting the finishing touches on this secret project!  I love the binding process – it means a project has come to its fruition, the end is near and another creation is complete. Satisfaction and moving on to the next bigger and better thing in my brain is nigh…

I also really enjoyed the appliqué and embroidery bits – they are my first favourite part

not so much the quilting bit – I really wish my Joey would arrive soon….

I kept it mainly to straight line quilting in keeping with the simple pieced design.

and finally the photography – sorry cant show you anymore as it is a secret project to be revealed next March! – I know, that's such a long time to wait – i will have completely forgotten it by then.

Now I actually photographed every step of the binding process and will do a tutorial for you all next week – I know there are many out there who have never actually learned how to do a binding for a quilt – I even know someone whose quilts are all up on the wall without binding because she doesn't know how yet!  now there is no excuse! So if it might help you, please come back next week to find out how I do mine and any tips I may be able to offer.
