12 Days of Christmas Stitch-along Fabric kits

12 days, 12+ blocks, 3 ways 

Do you love  to stitch for Christmas? Or just stitch every day of the year? Join in with our 12 Days of Christmas Stitch-along and you can work on your quilt everyday for 12 months, with a finished quilt ready to celebrate. 

Make a family keepsake Christmas quilt with Helen. Choose from Redwork, Applique or Colourque versions with video tutorials and pattern downloads included. Patterns and lessons are released monthly - a 13-month program. 

This quilt is based on the 12 Days of Christmas poem and measures approximately 50" x 62" finished, so perfect for a large wallhanging to decorate your festive home.

This program is run on our online Academy - so it is all online, with video instructions and downloadable PDF pattern sheets etc. You can sign up here.

Here you can choose to purchase fabric kits, thread kits and Iron on Transfer packs to support the program. None of these are required for you to participate- you can work totally from your stash or purchase locally.

Helen will be making three versions:

1: Simply Redwork - hand stitched designs using a single variegated #1007 Hugs 'n Kisses red thread on lovely linen fabric with scrappy red fabrics for the pieced borders and sashing filler blocks.

2: Colourque(TM) Christmas - coloured pencil applique, hand outline, stitched with Presencia Finca Perle #16 threads.

3: Applique'd - using our unique gluestick applique method over HNK applique paper with hand stitched details.

You can choose one, or a mix of all three methods to make your own personal version.

Helen will be including video instructions for each method at the start of the program. 

You will first learn the basics of all techniques used in the quilt.

Including:

Gluestick applique with iron on, leave in applique paper

Colourque - coloured pencil applique

Redwork stitchery - simple embroidery stitches

Transferring your designs

Preparing for stitching

Basic notes on layering, quilting, Binding, labelling and caring for your quilt

Some basic quilting skills are assumed such as rotary cutting and machine piecing. 

The finished quilt measures 50" x 62
